Before Jesus, a bunch of dudes claimed to be the Son of God. Some did miracles too. Some even were said to get killed and come back. I can't find the sources right now, but even before them a lot of mythological beings predate most of Jesus' traits. For me it makes a lot more of sense to see him as a good dude that tried to teach people several hundred of years too early in time to understand.
